ÅlesHund began with the idea that dog equipment need not be boring or fragile. Our founder has a background as a canine behaviour specialist, with experience from both New York and veterinary clinics here in Norway. She has written the book "Hundens behov" and understands how important the right equipment is for both dog and owner.

It really started quite simply — we needed better dog leads for our own needs, and when we began making them ourselves, we discovered that other dog owners faced the same challenge. From the kitchen table in Ålesund, we have grown to supply waterproof dog equipment throughout Norway.

All our dog equipment is handmade here in Ålesund. We use waterproof material that withstands rain, snow and muddy walks without damage. Every dog lead and collar is made to order — no mass production, just exactly what you need.

We understand that every dog is unique. That is why we offer made-to-measure products and can customise colours and designs on request. It takes a little longer than picking something off a shelf, but the result is dog equipment that fits your particular dog perfectly.
