When is a short handle useful?
A handle is a short loop with a ring or clip. It can be useful when passing other dogs, at the vet or when practising heelwork and keeping your dog closer. Use it as a separate short grip when a long training line or ordinary lead becomes awkward. Always adapt its use to your dog and the situation.
Choose the strap and end fitting separately.
The width refers to the strap you hold. A ring connects using a separate clip; if you choose a clip, the clip itself is the attachment. Available end fittings depend on your chosen width.

Check the grip before your next walk.
Rinse or wipe the coated strap after your walk. Use mild soap if needed. After seawater: rinse the metal parts with fresh water too, and leave the equipment to dry.
If you choose reflective material, avoid prolonged dragging on the ground. The reflective strip is less resistant to abrasion than the strap itself.
