What makes this long line for dogs different?
A long line, also called a training or tracking lead, gives your dog more room during recall and tracking while keeping you connected. The coated webbing can be wiped clean after a session. Choose a standard handle or ring at the end, and only use as much line as your surroundings allow. The line does not float.
What length do you need?
Compare 5, 6, 7, 8 and 10 metres in the customisation options. A 5-metre line can be a starting point for recall in a smaller space; 7–10 metres allow more distance for tracking and training where there is room. More length also means more line to gather. Contact us about a custom length if you need more than 10 metres.

Choose the right width
The 10 mm, 16 mm and 25 mm options give different widths in your hand and different amounts of material to handle. Choose for your dog’s size, pulling behaviour and the length you intend to use. Strap width is not a stated weight limit for the dog.
Choose your clip
Compare the standard and Pro clips in the photo viewer. Available clips depend on the width you select. After training, roll up the line and use a lead holder to keep the loops together in your bag. See the lead holder

The price is calculated from your choices and shown before you add the item to your cart. We make the equipment by hand in Ålesund. Shipping in Norway is NOK 77, free from NOK 1099. Delivery information and the final total are shown at checkout.
From the forest floor to the next session.
Rinse or wipe the coated strap after your walk. Use mild soap if needed. After seawater: rinse the metal parts with fresh water too, and leave the equipment to dry.
If you choose reflective material, avoid prolonged dragging on the ground. The reflective strip is less resistant to abrasion than the strap itself.
From training to the next walk
The line does not float. Waterproof material does not mean the line stays on the surface of the water. Roll it into even loops when not in use.
